Foad Alvandi
Foad Alvandi is the owner and president of Ray Sofield Electric. Mr. Alvandi is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Maryland and is a Certified Energy Manager and GeoExchange Designer with the Association of Energy Engineers. He is a member of the Independent Electrical Contractors Association. Mr. Alvandi has a long history and expertise in the field of electrical engineering and engineering education. He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from George Mason University. He worked for many years as an electrical engineer with JF Taylor, Inc., a government contractor with the Department of Defense in Maryland and with the Technical Analysis Corporation and Unisys Corporation in Virginia. He most recently was the Chair of the Mathematics and Computer Sciences Department at Capitol College in Prince George’s County Maryland where he has taught engineering and computer science courses for many years. Foad Alvandi resides in Laurel Maryland with his wife and two sons (and one dog!).
